Atlanta Opera's 'The Golden Ticket' to open March 3

ATLANTA -- The Golden Ticket, the second production in the Atlanta Opera's 2011-2012 season, will open in March.

Commissioned by American Lyric Theater and Felicity Dahl, widow of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory author Roald Dahl, The Golden Ticket features all the sweet delights of the Willy Wonka-related books and films, including chocolate rivers, inflating blueberries and great glass elevators.

Atlanta's production will be the third showing of The Golden Ticket since it premiered at Opera Theatre of St. Louis in June 2010.
