The opera company is looking for boys to appear in the Carmen children's chorus. Eligible boys will be between the ages of 7 and 12 and no more than 4-feet-8-inches tall. They must also have unchanged voices.

Auditions are held by appointment only. To reserve a time, send a résumé and headshot to children's chorus master Will Breytspraak at willbreytspraak@gmail.com.

Flamenco dancers are also needed for Carmen. Auditions will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interested applicants must send a bio and a full body photo to auditions@atlantaopera.org with "Dance Audition" in the subject line. Dancers must have strong technique; experience is a plus.

The opera company also needs a young girl who is trained in flamenco or Spanish dance. She must appear to be 8 to 12 years old. Anyone who is interested is also asked to apply in advance at the same e-mail address. Auditions for the young girl will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 25.

All dance auditions will be held at the Atlanta Opera Center at 1575 Northside Drive NW, Building 300, Suite 350 on Atlanta's west side.

Performances of Carmen will be held in November. Rehearsals for the children's chorus will begin this month; dance rehearsals will start in October.
