AUSTELL, Ga. – This week, Dinners on a Dime features local Cinco de Mayo eats. Every Tuesday Where U Live will choose four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal, under $20.
College students and locals enjoy The Border Mexican Restaurant on Maple Street in Carrollton. On Cinco de Mayo the restaurant will be holding their regular karaoke, they’ll also offer drink and food specials. The restaurant is a favorite for its vegetarian offerings and vast selection of imported Mexican beers. Visit the restaurant at 1210 Maple Street in Carrolton.
According to neighborhood residents, Margarita’s Mexican Cantina is the best authentic Mexican food in the area. This restaurant has an extensive vegetarian menu and its staple item is a cornbread dish, supposedly best served with beans. Guests appreciate the owner, Eric, and his relentless dedication to his guests; they say “he always has a smile on his face”. The restaurant is located at 2856 Veterans Memorial Highway in Austell.
Via Metromix: Under this Mexican roof, an upbeat environment awaits. Tony’s Mexican Restaurant has all things fun... loud music, margaritas, familiar faces and, of course, sizzling fajitas. Locals crowd this restaurant for daily lunch specials and weekend entertainment. The menu is full of all your favorite Mexican street food made fresh and to order. The restaurant is located at 4040 Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville.
Lime Taqueria is offering $5 dollar margaritas, $5 Jose shots and $3 bottles of Dos Equis for Cinco do Mayo. This event will also feature tons of giveaways, a live DJ and will be an “all out fiesta”. The Cinco de Mayo party begins at 4:00 p.m. and if guests bring five or more of their friends the entire party will receive 30% off their entire food bill.
