HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Hollywood police say two children who were kidnapped by their estranged mother have been found in Smyrna.

Police say 12-year-old Kevin Stedfast Fucien and 16-year-old Jacqueline Dana Julien were found with their mother Guerline Paul on Monday. Paul was arrested and charged with interference with custody. The kids were taken into the care of Georgia child welfare officials.

The children went missing from their home last week. Police said they suspected the children were taken by their mother. A protective order had been issued preventing Paul from being in touch with her children.

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Two Smyrna residents were arrested in the Sept. 26 stabbing death of a local man.

Police were dispatched to the crime scene on Teasley Drive in Smyrna shortly before midnight Monday, where they found the victim and identified him as 47-year-old William Lamar Milton.

Before he passed away, Milton was able to identify his attacker as 32-year-old Clarice Augustine Smith, according to Smyrna Police spokesman Michael Smith.

Clarice Smith was captured and arrested shortly after the stabbing. Police determined that she stabbed Milton during an argument and that Clarice Smith's boyfriend, 39-year-old Deandre Demond Ramsey, held Milton down while she attacked him.

Ramsey and Smith were both charged with murder and aggravated assault. They are being held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

CUMMING: Suspects arrested in massive jewelry heist

CUMMING, Ga. -- Two men have been arrested after one of the largest local jewelry heists in years.

Thirty-two-year-old Kenardis Demaine of Smyrna and 26-year-old Carl Henry Bowser III of Atlanta are accused of stealing more than $2.8 million in jewelry from Milano's Fine Jewelry in Cumming over the weekend.

To get inside, police said the suspects cut through a concrete wall from an empty adjoining property. Investigators said it must have taken hours.  

Jewelry store owner Ibrahim Ehicam said all his display cases were cleaned out and even his cash register was stolen. He didn't discover the heist until Monday.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Bowser was arrested Tuesday afternoon at a home in Southwest Atlanta. Holloway was arrested at a hotel in Stockbridge early Wednesday morning.

KENNESAW, Ga. -- A Kennesaw woman is charged with taking nearly $200,000 from Thomas Concrete, where she worked.

Annette Sue Evans, 53, was arrested on Sept. 20 and charged with felony theft by taking. Her bond is set at $200,000. It is unclear if she has an attorney.

Evans, who worked as an administrative assistant to a fleet manager, is accused of taking $196,350 from Thomas Concrete off Cumberland Parkway in Vinings, according to a warrant.

Authorities say Evans wired money from sales of company equipment into her personal bank accounts between May 2008 and January 2010.

The company's director of human resources and risk management said Evans "duplicated sales orders and changed sale prices on orders," according to the warrant.

Police investigate early morning motel robbery

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Investigators with the Cobb County Police Department are trying to determine who robbed a Smyrna motel early Monday morning.

An employee of the Red Roof Inn on Corporate Plaza near WellStar Windy Hill Hospital told police that a man forced him to give up cash from the motel's safe at around 5:45 a.m.

He described the suspect as a black man in his late 20s or early 30s. He was about 5-feet-6-inches tall, wore dark clothing and a bandana that covered his face, and was armed with a handgun.

MARIETTA: Bond denied for hit-and-run suspects

MARIETTA, Ga. -- A Smyrna man and a Marietta woman accused in a deadly hit-and-run accident have both been denied bond.

Brandon M. Weston and Pamela K. Rice made their first court appearances Wednesday.

Both have been charged with vehicular homicide in the death of 31-year-old Emanuel R. Mitchell of Norcross.

According to Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce, Mitchell's motorcycle was southbound on Interstate 75 on Aug. 20 when witnesses said the driver of the silver Porsche abruptly changed lanes to the left, colliding with the motorcycle near the ramp to Windy Hill Road.

2 arrested in homeless man's murder

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Smyrna police have arrested two men in connection with a homeless man's death.

The second suspect, 35-year-old Jelani Anthony, was arrested Tuesday morning.

He and 29-year-old Eric Scales are both charged with murder in the shooting death of Warren Broadnax.

RELATED: Police investigate shooting death of homeless man

Broadnax, 55, was found in the parking lot of the Wyndcliff Galleria apartments on Cobb Parkway on July 26.

He later died at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Investigators said he lived in his car in the parking lot.
