SMYRNA, Ga. -- Cobb County Police say fog may be to blame for a fatal crash in Smyrna on Christmas Eve.

The accident happened at around 10:30 p.m. Monday on Smyrna Powder Springs Road near Trellis Oaks Drive.

Cobb County Police Ofc. Mike Bowman said two Toyota Camrys collided when one of them veered over the double yellow lines, most likely because the driver could not see very well in the fog.

That driver, 39-year-old Huy Tran of Austell, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with minor injuries.

Several people were in the other car. The driver and three passengers, including a 16 year old, were treated for minor injuries at Kennestone.

A fourth passenger, 46-year-old Luca Kosic of Marietta, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bowman said no charges have been filed in the crash, which is still under investigation.
