Cosby's Cobb performance met with protesters, supporters

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Supporters and protesters were at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre as comedian Bill Cosby took the stage on Saturday.

Cosby was performing the final show of his "far from finished" tour.

Dozens of women have come forward to accuse the comedian of drugging and sexually attacking them.

No charges have been brought against Cosby, and he denies all wrong doing.

One of his accusers, Lili Bernard, fought back tears as she protested

After the show, Cosby released a statement saying:

Alleged Cosby victim is in town to protest performance

ATLANTA (WXIA) – Bill Cosby's performance at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre will be under heavy protest Saturday night. Since sexual assault allegations surfaced last fall, Cosby has canceled and postponed shows, but this one will go on.

At least one alleged victim of Cosby's is in town hoping to make a difference.

Kaya Thompson, once known to family and friends as Jena, said she can't even look at him.

"When his image is even on the internet, I avert my eyes," she said.

She calls herself a survivor – a new name, a specific title.

Drowned swimmer pulled from Chattahoochee

COBB COUNTY, GA (WXIA) – Rescuers pulled the body of a missing swimmer from the Chattahoochee River Wednesday afternoon.

A desperate call for help came when a Tuesday afternoon of fun on the Chattahoochee River took a terrible turn.

The call came in just after 4 pm – 911 was alerted to people in the river that needed help and could not get out on their own. They were apparently trying to swim to a spot called Diving Rock, and got stuck.

Crews arrived from Cobb Police, Cobb Fire, the state Department of Natural Resources and from the Chattahoochee National Park. They got everyone out of the river, except for a lone male swimmer who had lost contact with his friend.
