Atkins Park Tavern hosts Mardi Gras Oysterfest | Restaurants

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Get ready for festivities and feasting -- Atkins Park Tavern will begin a five-day Mardi Gras Oysterfest on Friday.

Different events are scheduled for each of the five days.

Friday, February 18
* Oyster specials
* Live music from the Patrick Scott Band

Saturday, February 19
* New Orleans-style brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
* Live music from Wesley Cook at 2 p.m.
* Live music from Soulhound at 6 p.m.
* Live music from Todd Wells at 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, February 20
* "Cure-all" hangover brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
* Live music from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday, February 20
* A family-friendly celebration with entertainment and chef-prepared New Orleans favorites

Tuesday, February 21
* Mardi Gras fanfare -- beads, beer and partying
* Live music from the Andrew Black Band at 9:30 p.m.
