ATLANTA – It’s almost Thanksgiving, have you started preparing? If not, there may be no need; a number of local restaurants are taking the effort out of your Thanksgiving holiday, with pre-prepared and packaged meals. However, don’t hesitate placing your orders because the restaurants we’ve listed are booking up quickly.

Star Provisions of Atlanta will be offering take home Eberly and Heritage Turkeys to put you at ease on your Thanksgiving holiday. The restaurant is offering fresh, free-range and organic whole turkeys and bone-in turkey breasts. The turkeys range from $5.75 per pound to $9.50 per pound and they can feed up to 28 people. Brined turkeys cost $1.00 extra, per pound and $2.00 to be brined and roasted.

Star Provisions is also offering all of the fixins’ like gravy, Cranberry Orange relish, mashed potatoes, Sage and Apple Dressing, Collard Greens and Macaroni and Cheese. All orders must be placed by Saturday, November 19 at 5:00 p.m. and food will be available for pickup on November 23. The restaurant is located at 1198 Howell Mill Road on the Westside Provisions District.

Alon’s Bakery in Virginia Highland is currently accepting orders for their Thanksgiving Feast. The restaurant is offering hors d’oeuvres, side dishes, Thanksgiving breads, entrees and desserts. Alon’s signature Orange Glazed Turkey Breast, Classic Roasted Turkey, Smoked Turkey, Ribeye and Beef Tenderloin are all “main attraction” options. They range, in price, from $35 to $67.

The restaurant offers truffle mousse, bread sticks, tortilla chips, and an antipasti-style platter as a prequel to the meal and gravy, Brussel Sprouts, Haricot Vert Amandine, Collard Greens and Macaroni and Cheese among other things. Sides and starters at Alon’s Bakery range from $8 to $50 and serve 4 to 12 people.

Popular chain, HoneyBaked Ham is offering Whole Roasted, Smoked or Cajun Turkeys and Honeybaked Ham; they’re also offering side dishes like Broccoli Rice Casserole, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Pecan Pie and other dishes. Meals at HoneyBaked Ham range from $13 to $80. The restaurants are located all over Atlanta and are currently accepting orders for Thanksgiving dinner.

Candler Park restaurant, Mercantile, is offering family packaged meals, once again, this year, for Thanksgiving. According to Janea Rae Boyles, the restaurant is crafting entire meals, complete with a whole Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and guests will have a choice of green beans or brussel sprouts. The restaurant will also have bread and dressing items available from Pure Knead to accommodate their gluten-free patrons.

Mercantile will be open on Wednesday and on Thanksgiving Day, until noon, for pickups. They are only scheduling a couple of people per time slot to ensure oven-fresh turkeys at pick up. This year patrons will experience a slight price increase due to the increase in the price of turkeys. Desserts will be available by the slice or according to serving quantity.

Rosebud Atlanta in the Virginia Highland neighborhood will be open for Thanksgiving, also. They’re feature a homemade Trail Mix from neighboring restaurant, The Family Dog. They, also, offer entrées like Roasted Turkey and organic Berkshire Hams.  The restaurant is featuring sides like whipped potatoes, Mac n’ Cheese, baby carrots and creamed corn among other things. The restaurant is now accepting reservations and orders for Thanksgiving Day.

South City Kitchen in Midtown and Vinnigs will be preparing to-go Thanksgiving dinners for what they say is one of the “best parties of the year”. The restaurant is offering a three-course prix fixe dinner for $39.95 per adult and $19.98 per child.

The restaurant is featuring Fried Chicken, Salmon, Veggies, Turkey and Seafood with cornbread dressing, collard greens, potatoes and brussell sprouts. Guests will also have their choice of Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Pecan Pie or Warm Apple Pie. The restaurant will, also, be open on Thanksgiving Day for dine-in guests and, they say, it’s one of their busiest days of the year.

Cheshire Bridge Restaurant, Colonnade, is offering their annual complete four course dinner for $22. The restaurant offers Pumpkin Apple Bisque or Cream of Turkey Soup as a starter, your choice of a salad as a second course and Roasted Turkey and your choice of sides. The restaurant offers a number of sides from whipped potatoes, candied yams, glazed beets and other home-style favorites.

Most of the accompaniments are cooked without meat. Meals are available for pick up on Thanksgiving Day for pick-up.

Virginia Highland mainstay, Murphy’s is featuring Thanksgiving meals that serve 4 for $125. According to their site, the meal includes “the best ingredients harvested by local farmers”. The Thanksgiving meal consists of Roasted Boneless Brined Turkey Breasts, Green Beans, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Butternut Squash Soup and your choice of a pie.

The folks at Murphy’s expect they’ll sell out, so place your orders today. Orders will be taken by phone, online and at the restaurant.
