Pollo Tropical collecting cell phones for Women in Distress
ATLANTA -- Pollo Tropical is collecting old cell phones to benefit women in need.
The restaurant chain's Handheld for a Handheld campaign collects used phones for Women in Distress, which provides emergency shelters, a crisis hotline, advocacy programs and other services to women and families.
Pollo Tropical will collect cell phones all day on Wednesday, Jan. 9. Cell phones do not need to be working, but they must have batteries.
