A Historical Site is an Option for Your Wedding Venue

Have you ever thought of adding a little historical charm to your wedding day? Venues, like the Douglasville Cultural Arts Center, are beautiful southern gems to consider.

The Cultural Arts Center is on the National Historical Preservation Society’s National Register and offers enchantment and elegance for weddings and receptions. To discuss the magnificence of this 100-year-old venue, I met with Emily Lightner, program assistant of the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County

“The Cultural Center was once a home,” says Emily. She explained that it was once the home of deceased Georgia State Senator W. T. Roberts in the early 1900s.

Consider making your own playlist of tunes you love, and dance the night away with your new hubby and guests!
  • Feeling “artsy?” Do your own make-up.
