BEST SPOTS: Golf Clubs and Courses
ATLANTA – For this week’s installment of Best Spots, we've compiled a list of the best golf courses in for you to take a break and tee it off while the weather is nice.
The Dunwoody Country Club facility offers 18-holes of golf. The course is nicknamed “Dunwoody” and it features 7,002 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course is composed of Bermuda grass and it was designed by Willard C. Byrd of the ASGCA.
Membership to this club is invite only as it is seen as a premiere course in Atlanta. The course is located at 1600 Dunwoody Club Drive.
North Fulton Course was first designed in 1937 by Chandler Egan in collaboration with Walter Hagen and Atlanta's greatest golfer, Bobby Jones. The course is located in the heart of Chastain Park, Atlanta's largest park.
The course is also on the site of an ancient Creek Indian Village.
